How it’s calculated
The NDIA publishes how plans are managed for each service district and state, not for smaller areas.
We multiply the area’s participants by the plan-managed share of plans in its service district in the same quarter, or the state’s where the district has no figure.
Keep in mind
- The share differs between the areas of a district, so this is a guide, not a count.
- Participants are published for the 2016 area boundaries; where those changed, they are shared out by population.
