What kind of figure
Estimate A third-party estimate, such as search volume.
How it’s calculated
We take the informational searches that mention the NDIS and that Google publishes volumes for, leaving out searches made by providers and workers (price guides, registration, training, invoicing), and add up their monthly volumes across the state.
Each month is shown as an index against the 12-month average: 100 is an average month, 120 is 20% above it.
Keep in mind
- Search volumes are Google’s own estimates, rounded, and published about a month behind.
- State level only. By area, most volumes sit at Google’s floor of 10 searches a month, which measures market size rather than interest.
- It is a sign of interest in the scheme, not a count of people looking for a provider.
